How did you come to join exccon?

I completed an MBA in IT and Marketing in India and gained seven years of professional experience there. In 2021, I wanted to move to Germany – right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and with long visa processes. While waiting, I applied to many companies. Through a friend in Munich, I was introduced to exccon AG. In June 2022, I moved to Munich and joined the company. It was here that I quickly discovered my passion for ServiceNow.

What was the best decision of your professional career?

The mostimportant decision Iever made was to step out of my comfort zone. In India, I had a good and familiar life. Moving to Munich meant starting over completely: a new country, a different culture, a new language - and at the same time, entering a new professional environment. That decision helped me grow both personally and professionally.

What do you like most about exccon, your job, and the team?

At exccon, you can genuinely feel that personal development matters. You are given the time, support, and trust to learn and grow. What I particularly enjoy is working with colleagues from different countries and cultures. We don't just share professional experiences - we also share personal moments at team events in the office and in everyday life. That strong sense of community makes a real difference to me.

How do you balance family and career – and how does exccon support you in that?

What I really appreciate about working in Germany is the high value placed on work-life balance. At exccon, people are encouraged to take time off and not constantly push beyond their limits. This creates space for family, personal well-being,and recovery - something I was not used to in India.

Outside of work, what is important to you?

During the summer, I enjoy spending time outdoors, going for long walks, and playing badminton with friends. In winter, I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I also enjoy living in Munich and taking advantage of the many opportunities for day trips and outdoor activities nearby. Staying connected with my family in India is equally important to me - long video calls are a regular part of my life.

Women are still underrepresented in the IT industry. As a woman, do you feel well supported at exccon?

Yes,absolutely. Even though women are still underrepresented in the IT industry, I am confident that this will continue to change. At exccon,I feel that everyone is supported equally. It is not about pressure or competition, but about helping people grow and develop.

What are the benefits of working from home – and how do you maintain a sense of team spirit?

Working from home gives me flexibility and helps me organize my daily life efficiently - especially because I enjoy cooking for myself. At the same time, I appreciate our hybrid working model. Through meetings and customer interactions, we stay closely connected, while regular visits to the office and company events strengthen personal relationships. Communication at exccon is open and straightforward - even across different locations. That is exactly what keeps the team spirit alive.
