What do you like about exccon?

The team spirit. Especially when projects get challenging, you can rely on the entire team at exccon. It’s all about finding solutions together. Everyone pulls in the same direction – and that’s exactly the spirit that makes the difference for me.

What do you appreciate about your colleagues and your team?

We support each other – not just professionally, but also on a personal level. If someone has to step away at short notice for personal reasons, the team naturally steps in. That gives you the peace of mind to focus on what truly matters in that moment, without feeling like you’re letting the team down. This willingness to support one another is something I deeply value.

Describe exccon in three words.

excellence in consulting

exccon has an international team. What do you learn from colleagues with different cultural backgrounds?

I learn to see the world from different perspectives. Everyone brings their own culture, experience, and viewpoint, which makes conversations more diverse and enriching. You gain insights into ways of life that you might otherwise never encounter and develop a deeper understanding of situations that often seem abstract when seen only through the news. It makes the world more colorful, interesting - and sometimes even more hopeful.

Many employees speak about the "exccon family". What does that mean to you?

To me, the exccon Family means being able to trust your colleagues and open up to them – even when you feel uncertain or not at your strongest. Some will listen and show empathy, while others will suggest practical advice and solutions. This atmosphere of trust creates a strong sense of belonging and is a key part of our unique team spirit.

Customer projects can sometimes be challenging. What kind of support do you receive from the company?

I experience strong backing when situations become critical. When I develop a solution, I receive support in turning it into reality. Even critical feedback is delivered in a respectful and solution-oriented way – opening new perspectives rather than focusing on mistakes. For me, this mindset is an important part of exccon’s culture.

What is something in your life you would find very hard to give up?

The people I feel comfortable with – both professionally and personally.

What is important to you as a leader?

It is important to me that my team truly feels like a team and that people continue to enjoy their work. When people go to work every morning with resistance, it ultimately affects not only the individual but also the performance of the entire team. A positive team atmosphere helps us to stay focused on shared goals, to support one another, and to take pride in what we achieve together.

What are the advantages of working from home?

Working from home gives me back valuable time. By cutting out the long commute to Munich and the traffic jams, I save up to three hours a day. I can actually work with more focus while still having more time for my personal life. Additionally, working from home allows for more flexible hours – especially when it comes to tasks such as documentation or administration. This helps to better balance work and family life, even though customer projects naturally require fixed availability at times.

How does exccon manage to foster a sense of team spirit in a remote-working environment?

Above all, through personal interaction: exccon events, team events, offsites, and shared formats such as our "Knowledge Bites" are essential because they allow us to experience one another as people, not just as faces on a screen. Especially since we are now spread out across Germany, these opportunities to connect in person are becoming increasingly important. Where geographically possible, regular office days can also help cto strengthen team cohesion.
